Florence & Cripple Creek #588

I was really surprised (and happy) to see the Colorado Railroad Museum had a Florence & Cripple Creek boxcar.  It's not one of the ones that went to the Nevada County Narrow Gauge, but it was still cool to see.  I took a number of "detail" shots.

It's a cool logo.  Also note the horizontal scrapes/weathering.  Not sure what the small square hole is for.

Simple door on fancy hangers

Close-up of the door hanger.  The track and wheel is visible.  I'm thinking there should have been two wheels on this hanger.

Looks like this section was repaired at one time

The ends had a really interesting "side wall truss rod" (best I can describe it).  You can see it right below the end door, coming out of the car, then going back in.

Safety grab on the bottom rung

Weird little hook for the coupler lift bar

The roof walk only sticks out about half of what the D&RGW 3000 series do
