More Track

Well just a quick update today.  I've put down some more track.  You can see that maybe about 80-90% of the track is now down.  The sad part is the feeders still need to get hooked up to the bus (I hate that part) and I also still need to install the under-the-table turnout throws on probably over half of the turnouts.

I've also got kind of the peripheral pieces of track to do, including the one connecting to the cassette and the track over the bridge.

Well, you know, little by little, right?

I think there's a common consensus among model railroaders that creating magazine-worthy layouts is only for the upper elite.  I read a quote last week though which I'm still thinking about...
"Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working"
  -- Pablo Picaso
I think I'd agree with Picaso's sentiment there.  It seems that I tend to find projects more interesting when I actually work on them.  It's a lot easier to get excited or motivated about a project that you're actually doing, versus one you're just thinking about or planning.  And who knows how well you can do until you actually get out there and try.
