When I was dropping track I realized that because the layout style is changing from continuous (folded oval) into point-to-point it means that when the train arrives at Tincup it needs a way to turn around to make the return trip. To this end I added a turntable in Tincup which wasn't in the original. Being that it's right next to a mountain it gives some possibilities for interesting scenery (ala Denver & Rio Chama Western style high cribbing).

Not all of the buildings are in, but you can see it coming together.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteOne thing I have to ask, concerning your layout.
Do you plan to have helper engines in the stations Tincup and Monstrose yard? If not you will not have any chance to get around your train. The only change would be, to run the o''burn millwork siding. But that look like it is build to give a passing siding.
Normaly you will find a run around track at an end station.
